This new inter-city residency project provides one Montreal-based artist a week long residency in Toronto and one Toronto-based artist a week long residency in Montreal. Curated by open calls generated by both Dancemakers Centre for Creation and the Centre de Creation O Vertigo, the objective of this initiative is to create stronger links between the two dance communities and to give opportunity to artists who do not already have networks in the host city. This program also aims to address the current lack of artistic collaboration between the 2 city centres and is significant as the only Montreal / Toronto residency exchange program for contemporary choreographic practice in Canada.
